AI Rate Limits and Usage

HireKit uses multiple AI models optimized for different tasks. Each model has configurable daily rate limits to help you manage usage.

AI Models and Their Uses

Claude Haiku (Fast Extraction)

• Used for: Email parsing, job description extraction
• Default limit: Unlimited
• Speed: Fast (1-3 seconds)

Claude Sonnet (Analysis & Generation)

• Used for: Alignment analysis, resume generation, cover letter creation
• Default limit: 200 calls/day
• Speed: Medium (5-10 seconds)

Claude Opus (Premium Strategy)

• Used for: Premium career insights, complex strategy recommendations
• Default limit: 50 calls/day
• Speed: Slower (10-15 seconds)

Checking Your Usage

Navigate to Settings > AI Configuration to see your current daily usage for each model. Usage resets at midnight.

Adjusting Rate Limits

Administrators can adjust per-user rate limits from the AI configuration settings. If you need higher limits:

1. Go to Settings in the sidebar
2. Click on the AI tab
3. View your current limits and usage
4. Contact your admin to request changes

Tips for Efficient Usage

• Batch your AI operations when possible
• Review alignment results before generating documents
• Use the cached results (valid for 24 hours) instead of re-running analyses
• Focus AI usage on your highest-priority applications
